March 10, Uprising Day

March 10, 2025,
the 66th year of commemoration for Tibetan Uprising Day.
I did it, I went again in support of Tibetans.
The second consecutive year of doing so,
proud of myself!
If it's not entirely impossible,
I should always make it happen in the years to come.

Hand drew 3 posters, which took me hours last night.
One was for Ginger,
was thinking of giving the third to a Chinese who didn't prepare.
Turned out a lot of Chinese were better at chatting/ debating away online,
but not paying actual tribute and coming out in the sun.

Packed plain nuts and some snacks, painkillers (just in case) and masks,
spent a whole day in SF marching and shouting.
Fewer people and shorter duration compared to last year,
because March 10 landed on Monday this year,
whereas Sunday last year.
But I felt more exhausted due to my current health condition.

Ginger gave a powerful speech again, so proud of her!!!
Last year was her first time giving a public speech,
which made her instantly famous in this circle.
Glad I was there with her too,
and later saw her organization grow and flourish.

Our support is highly appreciated by the Tibetans
because we are the oppressors, the privileged oppressors.
Even though we rarely enjoyed any rights back in China,
we are still the Oppressors and Colonizers.
It's in our Han genes!
The President urged us to stand on stage in City Hall
to showcase our banners and posters
because "our presence is very, very important to them!"
Wish more Chinese people could be as brave as we are.

I masked up because I'd need to apply for a visa to China in a few months
via the same consulate where we stomped the communist flag
and shouted: "Down with CCP! China Out of Tibet!"

Through these events, we met Chinese from all walks of life.
For a moment there, in a new Chinese restaurant in SF
opened by some guys who came legally and illegally,
an actual hub to shelter the lowest class of lives,
it even felt like in China,
a freer China with freer Chinese.
Maybe we could build up such a community here,
a crowd of Chinese who are free, even dare to speak up,
it is in the making, indeed.
A restaurant with the best spicy food in Bay,
live music, the feel of a hostel, actual rooms underground,
that would surely attract a lot of Chinese
who love to hang out from dawn to dusk...
Amn't I the master of hanging out
if living without circumstances?... (>o<)
Hanging out and exchanging thoughts,
that's the ultimate meaning of life!!

The existence of Tibetan people reminds me that
one should never take for granted what one has in life.
Most people in this world live in forever despair and desperation;
hope is the only thing that sustains them.
Hoping to have one-tenth a life that we are enjoying
-- exempted from any persecution,
learn the mother language,
not be brainwashed,
and be truly free.
